Internal steelwork and mezzanine floor in Nottingham
The brief
An industrial unit in Nottingham being converted to two floors of commercial space. The client needed a new internal steel frame and mezzanine deck installed inside the existing shell, working at height around other trades and to the engineer’s drawings.
We set out and erected the primary steel columns and beams, bolted up the secondary joists and steel decking, and laid the cement-board floor across the full mezzanine. All work was carried out from powered access platforms with full harness and edge protection, and signed off by the structural engineer at each stage. Six weeks from first column to finished deck.
