The brief
A large new-build house in Hucknall with a double-height hallway, oak staircase and galleried landing. The owners wanted a soft, warm neutral on the walls to sit with the oak joinery and cream tiles, and crisp white skirting, architraves and coving throughout.
We mist-coated the fresh plaster, filled and sanded, then applied two coats of a warm off-white emulsion to every wall and ceiling across three floors. All woodwork, coving and door linings were finished in white satin, with the oak stairs and doors masked and protected. Two weeks from bare plaster to finished.
