Garden walls and landscaping in West Bridgford
The brief
A long, narrow town garden in West Bridgford with a collapsing ivy-covered boundary wall and a bare, waterlogged plot behind a newly extended house. The owners wanted new brick walls on three sides, raised planting beds, a porcelain patio, a stripe-mown lawn and lighting, all in a London stock brick to match the house.
We took down the old wall, dug and poured new footings and built the full boundary in reclaimed-look stock brick with piers and stone copings. Raised beds and a brick-edged border were built around a levelled, drained lawn area, a porcelain patio and steps were laid at the house, and the garden was planted, turfed and lit. Eight weeks from demolition to finished garden.
