Exterior painting and windows in Nottingham
The brief
A four-storey Georgian terrace in Nottingham with original timber sash windows that had not been painted in years. The owners wanted every window, sill and the front door redecorated from a full scaffold, with any rotten timber repaired rather than replaced.
We scaffolded the full front elevation, stripped back flaking paint, spliced in new timber where sills and bottom rails had rotted, re-puttied and primed the sashes, and finished every window in two coats of exterior gloss. The front door and railings were redecorated at the same time. Three weeks on site.
