Composite decking on a roof terrace in West Bridgford
The brief
A first-floor roof terrace in West Bridgford finished in worn concrete paving slabs sitting directly on the felt roof. The owners wanted a warm, low-maintenance deck that would sit flush with the French doors, keep the roof drain clear and need no treating or staining.
We lifted the old slabs, laid a new felt membrane and built a composite subframe on adjustable pedestals to get the falls right and keep the outlet accessible. Oak-effect composite boards were fitted with hidden clips and picture-framed to the edges. Four days on site, with no fixings visible in the finished deck.
