The brief
A garden flat in Mapperley with a long hallway and an open-plan kitchen and living space under a new rooflight. The owners wanted a calm grey scheme with warm oak underfoot and crisp, deep skirting to tie the rooms together.
We laid rustic-grade engineered oak through the hall, living room and kitchen, fitted tall square-edge skirting and painted it in white satin, and finished walls and ceilings in a soft light grey. Flush floor access panels were cut into the boards in the hallway so the services underneath stay reachable.
