The brief
A long back garden in Toton with a tired lawn, loose stepping stones and a step down from the house with nowhere to sit. The owners wanted a raised sandstone patio with wide steps down to the lawn, a path of stepping stones to the summer house and a fresh, level lawn.
We built the raised terrace on a compacted sub-base with a stone-clad retaining wall and two wide steps, laid Indian sandstone slabs across the patio and a border path, set new circular stepping stones into the lawn line, and levelled and turfed the garden with a planted edge along the fence. Two weeks from start to finish.
